This recipe is so simple, it will be your new go-to. You only need three ingredients: bread (we love this gluten free brand) cream cheese + food coloring. Get ready to load the dishwasher because you will need a bowl for each food colored cream cheese that you create, but I promise, it will be worth it.

Work together as a science experiment to create different shades of colors or prepare the colors ahead for you kids. Want to make less dirty dishes? Use only red + green for Christmas or orange + yellow or fall. Or, Red, pink + purple for Valentine’s Day.

Paint stripes across the toast, one color at a time. Softened cream cheese works the best! Don’t focus on perfection because this is meant to be eaten + enjoyed. Your kids will love the surprise if the lines are straight or not. Better yet, when they do it, they are the artists.

Create this snack based on your dietary needs. Use traditional bread + cream cheese. Or, choose gluten free and/or dairy free cream cheese. Top with star sprinkles for an extra surprise!

Enjoy!
